21st Century People

 

‘Any journey from out of the dark and into the light, has to start in the dark’

 

Remember those years

in the first three decades

of the twenty-first century

-human counting?

Who knew,

if people would

destroy the world?

 

With their Cosy little lives

And their human stories,

they shuttered their eyes

to the storms arising.

Trouble

was piling up

around their doors.

 

It was a real dark time

in the world of people.

Their behaviour

causing global mayhem.

Humans

were acting like

they owned the world.

 

While the whole of life

and the wealth of species

was desecrated,

by their great destruction

People

- were living in a 

human world!

When they turned away from

the great connection,

and became obsessed,

with their human busyness.

People

were closing down

the gates of love.

 

With their soap opera lives,

individual stories,

eating the menu,

ignoring the real meal.

Missing

The food of life,

The taste of love.

 

And mistaking love

for their own attachments,

they built their lives

out of crass distractions.

Living

a separated

human life

 

In their fascination with

their own uniqueness

they used the world like a

peoples playground.

Killing,

a planet

that was starved of love.
